What is H.O.R.S.E.S. Church?

H.O.R.S.E.S. Church — the Harmonious Omni Religious Sanctum for Equine Sanctuary — is an omni-faith tradition centered on the belief that all living things are extensions of one godliness, and that horses carry the divine spark with particular clarity.

Is ordination legally recognized?

Online ordination is legally recognized to varying degrees across U.S. states, similar to other online ordination ministries. Recognition and any requirements to officiate (such as filing with a county clerk) vary by state, so please check your local requirements before officiating a legal ceremony.

What is a Covenant?

A Covenant is a spiritual commitment a horse owner or caretaker makes, dedicating their care of a horse to the church's teaching, intended to hold for the horse's lifetime. It is a statement of faith, not a legal document; it does not by itself change legal ownership or custody of an animal.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

We are finalizing our tax status and will update this page once it's confirmed. Please don't treat donations as tax-deductible until we've confirmed that in writing.

How do I nominate a horse for sainthood?

Visit the Sainthood page and complete the nomination form with the horse's name, your story about them, and (optionally) a photo. Our sainthood committee reviews nominations for the gallery of the canonized.

What do the certificate packages include?

Ordination itself is always free. Keepsakes can be added at checkout on the Ordination page: an Ordination Certificate is $15 digital or $25 printed and mailed, and a Letter of Good Standing is $15 digital or $18 printed and mailed. Payment is by card.

How do I become a member versus getting ordained?

Ordination sets you apart as a minister of the church. Membership is how you join the congregation itself — its worship, teaching, and sanctuary work. You're welcome to do either, both, or neither.

How do I submit a prayer request?

Visit the Prayer Requests page and share what's on your heart. You may submit anonymously, and you can choose whether your request stays private with our clergy or is shared with our wider prayer circle.
